Downriver and South East from Detroit in
Southgate Michigan, near the charming city of Wyandotte,
Thursday-Monday,
June 23-27, 2022 (postponed from 2021).
The closest airport is Detroit Metro. (DTW).
If not renting a car at the airport, call 734-283-4400 for a
complementary Shuttle to the Wyndham Garden Southgate. Hotel details
are below.
On Sunday morning
around 10 am on June 27th we will be traveling to the 70th
local Cogswell Reunion to arrive around Noon for a potluck lunch at
1 pm in Hillsdale Michigan (about a 2 hour drive). We will
coordinate carpooling for those without transportation.
The Southeast Detroit area boasts many
activities including history (auto and air), shopping,
entertainment, restaurants, parks, lakes, beaches, breweries,
wineries, casinos and so very much more.
The CFA has
negotiated a reduced rate for rooms at:

The daily Room Rate
is (in US dollars):
$119.99 per night, $132.59 including fees
and taxes.
$150 security deposit is required
upon check in (returned soon after check out).
Reservations must be made with a
credit/debit card to guarantee the reservation.
Although the hotel will put forth every
effort to accommodate guest room preferences, room types and special
requests will not be guaranteed.
Room prices / availability (only 24 rooms
being held) are only guaranteed thru Sun May 22, 2022.

Hours prior to arrival by 6pm to avoid 1 Night charge plus tax.
Amenities:
as of Feb 2022: airport shuttle, 5 mile area shuttle (on the hour),
fitness center, indoor pool, outdoor court yard, bar & restaurant
(partially open). Breakfast may be “grab and go”).
A car rental is not
required to enjoy this reunion.
Car pooling is encouraged outside the five mile shuttle radius.

Yankee Air Museum
– The Museum purchased a portion of the Willow Run Bomber Plant that
produced the B-24 Liberators used during World War II.
The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation (operating hours
Daily 9:30-5:00) Climb aboard a real steam locomotive or the “Rosa
Parks” bus, play pilot with the Wright brothers and view in the lab
where Thomas Edison had his light bulb moment. Get close to the
limousine from that fateful day in Dallas TX November 22, 1963.
